Rosalind Curtis Shields
   Rosalind Curtis Shields was born near Calumet, Okla., on June 19, 1916, to the late John Wilburn Curtis and Dedemona Wilkerson Curtis. She passed this life on Dec. 8, 2002 in Wichita Falls, Texas.
   Rosalind was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, John William Curtis, Jr, and her sisters, Wilma Curtis Adudell of Oklahoma City, Geraldine Curtis Pedone of Arlington, Virginia and Mary Curtis Gorton of Seattle, Washington.
   Rosalind leaves to mourn her passing, one sister, Irene Curtis Wood of Wichita Falls, who has loved and cared for her for six years; a son, Ronald Shields of McKinney, Texas and a granddaughter, Morgan Shields of Oklahoma City; also a host of nieces and nephews.
   Rosalind lived in Fresno, Calif. for many years. She then moved with her infant son to Oklahoma City to be near her parents. She was a retired cosmetologist. Rosalind was a member of the United Methodist Church in Oklahoma City.
   There will be a memorial service at a later date with burial of her ashes to follow at the Waurika, Oklahoma Cemetery.
  

Patsy Lou Youree
ELECTRA - Patsy Lou Youree, age 64, a resident of Electra, Texas, died Sunday, Dec. 8, 2002, in Wichita Falls.
   Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2002, at Southside Church of Christ, Electra, with Mr. Joe Dale Wilson, minister, Fargo, Texas, and Mr. Dean Nelson, youth minister, Southside Church of Christ, officiating. Interment will be in Electra Memorial Park, Electra, under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home, Iowa Park.
   Mrs. Youree was born Sept. 19, 1938, in Vernon, Texas. She was a retired substitute teacher with the Electra Independent School District.
   Survivors include her husband, Joe R. Youree of Electra; two daughters, Nikki Dawn (Youree) Yarbrough of Athens, Tenn., and Tammy Jo (Youree) Moree of Electra; a son, Joe R. Youree Jr. of Anchorage, Alaska; two brothers, Gordon Paschall of North Richland Hills, Texas, and Don Paschall of Irving, Texas; eight grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
   The family will be at Dutton Funeral Home, Iowa Park, Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2002, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
  

Norma Jean Williams
   Norma Jean Williams, 71, of Wichita Falls died Sunday, Dec. 8, 2002, at United Regional H.C.S., 11th St.
   Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2002, at First Presbyterian Church with Dr. Isaac Butterworth, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.
   Mrs. Williams was born Aug. 13, 1931, in Houston, Texas. She moved to Wichita Falls from Dripping Springs, Texas, in 1992. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, a homemaker and a dedicated Hospice volunteer. She married Paul Williams in Wichita Falls on May 9, 1998. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oswald and Annie Ruth Garnett.
   Survivors include her husband, Paul Williams of the home; five children, Jeff Barlow and his wife Cindy of Denver, Colo., Chris Barlow and his wife Pattie of Montpelier, Vt., Fran Ashley and her husband Michael of Rowlett, Texas, Ron Williams and his wife Sheila of Lafayette, La., and Paul Williams Jr. and his wife Marie of Warner Robbins, Ga.; a sister, Gwen Thomas of her husband James of Wichita Falls; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
   Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. today at Lunn's.
   Memorials may be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls and/or the American Cancer Society.
  

Donny Taylor
OLNEY - Donny Taylor, 39, of Great Bend, Kan., died Saturday, Dec. 7, 2002.
   Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Southside Baptist Church, Olney, with the Rev. Andy Graham, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Restland Cemetery under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home.
   Mr. Taylor was employed by Doric Burial Vaults in Newton, Kan.
   Survivors include his wife, Lori; two sons, Christopher Lee Taylor and Jeffrey Morris, both of Olney; his mother, Evelyn Ragland Young of Wichita Falls; his father, Lee Clayton of Olney; five sisters, Debbie Jones, Rhonda Cook and Ginger Parks, all of Olney, Darla Dobbs of Wichita Falls and Theresa Sloan of Newcastle, Texas; and three brothers, David of Wichita Falls, Bobby Ragland of Lubbock and Jimmy Pollard of Olney.
  

Rev. Leo McMahan
SEYMOUR - The Rev. Leo McMahan, 77, died Sunday, Dec. 8, 2002, in Seymour.
   Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Northeast Baptist Church, Seymour, with the Rev. Ben Valadez Jr., Wichita Falls, and the Rev. Johnny Bullard, pastor, Northeast Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery under the direction of Seymour Memorial Funeral Home.
   McMahan was the pastor of Northeast Baptist Church.
   Survivors include his wife, Margie of Seymour; three sons, Jerry of Humble, Texas, James of Kingwood, Texas, and Michael of Grand Prairie, Texas; a sister, Edna Tibbs of Las Cruces, N.M.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
  

George Elvin Dickey
George Elvin Dickey, 43, died Monday, Dec. 9, 2002, in Wichita Falls.
   Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. today at Calvary Baptist Church in Burkburnett with the Rev. Johnny Dowell officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home.
   Mr. Dickey worked at a service station.
   Survivors include his wife, Belinda of Wichita Falls; his mother, Juanell Frisinger of Burkburnett; three daughters, Carolyn Lopez and Christine, both of Graham, and Rebecca Chavez of Wichita Falls; and three sons, Randy of Las Cruces, N.M., Daniel Chavez and Michael Chavez, both of Wichita Falls; one sister; four brothers; and two grandchildren.

Shirley Mae Leach
JACKSBORO - Shirley Mae Leach, 77, of Jacksboro died Sunday, Dec. 8, 2002, in Jacksboro.
   Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church, Jacksboro, with the Rev. Eric Rothe officiating. Burial will be in Wesley Chapel Cemetery, Jack County, under the direction of Coker Funeral Home.
   Mrs. Leach was a homemaker.
   Survivors include her husband, Sherwyn of Jacksboro; a son, Robert of Hurst, Texas; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
  

Blanche Key
Blanche Mildred Key, 82, of Frederick, Okla., died Sunday, Dec. 8, 2002, in Frederick.
   Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Gray Gish Funeral Home with the Rev. Les Banks, pastor of Tesca Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Frederick Memorial Cemetery.
   Mrs. Key was a homemaker.
   Survivors include a son, Don Shempert of Frederick; a daughter, Sammie Kay Ellis of Mead, Okla.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
 

Monette Pemberton
Monette Pemberton, 72, of Wichita Falls died Monday, Dec. 9, 2002.
   Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Fairway Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Dingmore, pastor, officiating and the Rev. Bob Webb, pastor of Hillside Baptist Church, Electra, assisting. Burial will be in Burkburnett Cemetery under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home.
   Mrs. Pemberton retired as the Wichita County Tax Collector.
   Survivors include a daughter, Darlene Jones of Abilene; a son, Larry Jay of Kansas, Okla.; two sisters, Naomi McClure of Electra and Wanda Jo Ferguson of Madisonville; four grandchildren; and two great-grandsons.
   Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
   Memorials may be made to Fairway Baptist Church or to Hospice of Wichita Falls.

Charlie Pulliam Jr.
BURKBURNETT - Charlie R. Pulliam Jr., 74, of Burkburnett died Sunday, Dec. 8, 2002, in Wichita Falls.
   Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Owens & Brumley Funeral Home, Burkburnett, with the Rev. Chuck Donaldson of Wichita Falls officiating. Burial will be in Crestview Memorial Park.
   Mr. Pulliam retired from civil service as a heavy equipment operator at Sheppard AFB.
   Survivors include his wife, Sue of Burkburnett; a daughter, Karen Smith of Burkburnett; two sons, Leslie Bowles of Burkburnett and David Bowles of Salina, Kan.; a sister, Zelma Reagan of Grand Saline, Texas; three stepsisters, Shirley Jones and Charlene Fialkowski, both of Amarillo and Mary Harlon of Paw Paw, Mich.; and two grandchildren.
  

J. Michael Watkins
BOWIE - J. Michael "Mike" Watkins, 40, of Nokomis, Ill., died Thursday, Dec. 5, 2002, in Witt, Ill.
   Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Fry Funeral Home with the Rev. Tommy John Mayo, pastor of First Baptist Church, Newport, Texas, officiating. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.
   Mr. Watkins worked for All Type Electric in Hillsboro, Ill.
   Survivors include his wife, Dayna of Nokomis; two sons, Jeffrey of Kerrville, Texas, and Aron of Nokomis; a daughter, Jessie Mae of Nokomis; his mother, Velma of Fort Worth; and two sisters, Carol Sossamon of Kemp, Texas, and Linda Foulks of Crowley, Texas.
  

Donald Ray Riggins
 
VERNON - Donald Ray Riggins, 67, of Vernon died Sunday, Dec. 8, 2002, in Wichita Falls.
   Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Wilbarger Street Church of Christ with Joe Dale Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Wilbarger Memorial Park under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.
   Mr. Riggins was vice president of Herring National Bank and Wilbarger County Justice of the Peace Precinct 2.
   Survivors include his wife, Betty of Vernon; two sons, David of Amarillo and Mike of Vernon; a daughter, Donna Agnew of Vernon; three brothers, Bobby, J.C. (Jake) and Jim, all of Vernon; three sisters, Allene Fitzgerald and Geraldene Mooney, both of Vernon, and Charlene Davis of Euless, Texas; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
   Visitation will be from 5 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
   Memorials may be made to Fargo Church of Christ, Tipton Home or American Diabetic Association.
 

Hollis 'Hoss' Guffey Jr.
BURKBURNETT - Hollis "Hoss" Guffey Jr. ended his long battle with cancer and went to be with the Lord on Dec. 8, 2002.
   Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2002, at the First Baptist Church of Burkburnett. Officiating will be the Rev. Bill Liggett. Burial will be in the Burkburnett Cemetery under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Burkburnett. Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
   Hoss was born on Jan. 19, 1959, at Sheppard AFB, Wichita Falls, Texas. A lifelong resident of Burkburnett, Hoss attended Burkburnett schools and graduated from Burkburnett High School in 1977.
   Hoss married Marguerite Umlah on June 24, 1983, at the Church of the Nazarene in Burkburnett where he was active as a youth leader and church bus driver. Hoss was active in the community, a supporter of the Burkburnett Boys and Girls Club, and a friend to many, especially the youth. Hoss was an umpire and a coach with the Burkburnett Little League, and he coached in the Top of Texas Football Program. Hoss was a member of the Burkburnett High School Booster Club and a member of the Quarterback Club. Hoss attended the First Baptist Church of Burkburnett and was a member of the Adult 4 Sunday School.
   Hoss is survived by his wife, Marguerite of the home; his son, Jacob Guffey and his daughter, Kristin Guffey of the home. He is also survived by his grandmother, Marie Leeds of El Reno, Okla.; his father, Hollis O. Guffey Sr. and wife Margie of Burkburnett; his sister, Nora Geneva Keene and husband, Glen of Burkburnett; his in-laws, Don and Vivian Umlah of Burkburnett; Randy Umlah of Leander, Texas; Dee Dee and Wade Harris of Burkburnett; Marion and Mike Newell of Vernon, Texas; his stepfamily, Vanita Standridge, Annette Coker, Calvin Coker and Adam Coker, all of Wichita Falls; Sherman Coker of Baytown, Texas; Tonia Coker, Laura Young, Eva Lane, Peggy Andrus and Crystle Grissom; and his nieces, Hollisa, Melissa and Nicole Garner, all of Burkburnett, Priscilla Guffey of Burkburnett and Elizabeth Newell of Vernon; his nephews, Scott Williams of Burkburnett, David Garner of Burkburnett and Caleb Newell of Vernon; and many loved friends.
   Hoss was preceded in death by his mother, Lavon Guffey in 1995; his nephew, Danny Williams Jr. in 1997; his brother, Ben Guffey in 1999; and his sister, Rowena Garner in 1999.

Carl McAdoo Egner
NEWCASTLE -- Carl McAdoo Egner, 85, of Newcastle, Texas, died Monday, Dec. 9, 2002, at Newcastle.
   Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the Reynolds Cemetery with the Rev. Marie Helm of Newcastle officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home.
   Mr. Egner served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He owned and operated Jan's Bakery in Dallas for 38 years.
   Survivors include his wife, Avis Egner of Newcastle; one daughter, Carylon Kessler of Newcastle; two grandchildren, one step-grandson, and two great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Rathgeber Hospitality House, 1615 12th Street, Wichita Falls, TX 76301.
